Conductive powder that reacts to electrical current

Question asked by Liam Gahan on Nov 12, 2018

Hi everyone,

Forgive me if I'm asking in the wrong place , I just found this website browsing online and thought I'd give it a shot.

I'm in an entrepreneurship class and our idea is contingent on the fact that there exists a powder which can identify if objects have a current running through them. I know absolutely nothing about chemistry so I was wondering if this is possible. The reaction type doesn't really matter, as long as it's observable to the naked eye, be it a color change or ignition. Also ideally the current identified can be as small as 0.01 amps.
