The chair and two representatives from the University of Chicago have let us know they will be attending the AEI.
Professor Ortiz from Auburn University will be attending the AEI session
James Madison University plans to hire a tenure-track faculty member in the coming academic year and Richard Foust (Department Head), will be representing the department at the Sci-Mix poster session.
Prof Marshall from Amherst College wrote the following:
"We have just received authorization to search for a tenure-track assistant professor in the field of organic chemistry. Prof. Helen Leung (also of our department) and I are both planning to attend the AEI poster session at the Washington meeting.
"We are looking to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position in biochemistry starting Fall 2010. We have several faculty members from our department attending the ACS meeting who have expressed an interest in stopping in at the Academic Employment Initiative to chat with possible candidates.
The faculty members are: Dr. Gopal Perriyanann, Dr. Kraig Wheeler, Dr. Sean Peebles, Dr. Rebecca Peebles.
