Chemists as a first-responder or in law enforcement?

Hi all,

I would like ot know if there are any of you chemists out there who are first responders or in law enforcement in any way? While I know a few in the Los Angeles area, I'd like to know many more around the country to share stories. If you are one or know of one please reply so I can build a resource list of who's who around the country. We should share ideas and experiences to learn from and grow. Are you with me?

Re: Chemists as a first-responder or in law enforcement?

Hi Paul (greetings from London),

not quite sure what the UK equivalent to first-responder is, but us forensic chemists at University of East London once had an enquiry from Scotland Yard about whether "tegnesium" is dangerous! There was an allegation of theft from a Cambridge Medical Research Group, so you can guess the element!!

Hope all is well in Sunny SCALACs,

Olivia
