Does your newsletter have monthly columns that might interest other groups?

Do any of your Local Sections or Divisions have standing  monthly columns in your Newsletters or on your web sites?  I am sure you all give updates on meetings and upcoming events but do you, for example, have columns on careers, what your councilor is doing, available on-line tools or upcoming events at local, science related museums etc?  Do you think these types of column would be interesting to ACS members?

If the answer is "yes" we might be able to share these giving your section and the author recognition but also increasing the value of your newsletter or web site to your members.

Re: Does your newsletter have monthly columns that might interest other groups?

The California Section's monthly newsletter (see the link for the "Vortex" at www.calacs.org) often contains articles on energy issues, historical chemical processes, and chemisty-related aspects of modern life.  While not always monthly, these articles occur at multiple times during the year.  I wonder if a group such as LSAC could scour all of the local section newsletters for the "best of the best" of such monthly columns for dissemination to a broader member audience?  (in the copious amounts of free time that LSAC has, of course)
