Denver has not been the host for a National ACS meeting in many years! We have a great downtown area and convention center in place now.
For everyone out there, what are you most excited to see at the Denver National meeting?
Any suggestions for good restaurants in the area of the convention center/primary meeting hotels?
We will put out a list of restaurants and attractions in the area! The convention center is in the heart of downtown Denver. From the convention center there are TONS of fantastic restaurants within walking distance, Coors Field for some baseball, 16th street mall (a pedestrian shopping area with restaurants) and many other things. One of my favorite restaurants, which will definitely make our list, is Vesta Dipping Grill.
I am hoping for a strong Colorado School of Mines student chapter presence since we are so close!
We hope so too! Colorado student sections should get out there and show the rest of the ACS how great you are!
I'm very excited... thats for sure!!
My law firm is sponsoring one of the speakers.
Your neighboring Local Sections are also looking forward to Denver being an excellent national meeting venue and allowing for better student attendance from New Mexico institutions.
I figure that yall having a list of recommended local brewery selections would be an obvious thing. Someone I spoke to recently also mentioned that they would appreciate a list of recommended Colorado wines. They mentioned that there are a few wineries in the western slope area of Colorado producing some pretty good wines.
