Sustainable Leadership is a publication of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).  Any thoughts on the new "Leadership Channel?"  Please note that this channel is in Spanish, but can be switched to English by clicking on the American flag:

If  you are an engineering, technology, or education organization, you may want to encourage members to  participate in a new real-time “Leadership Channel”.  Launched in January 2011, the channel is a  “global, innovative, and  collaborative platform” to unite “the brightest minds  to solve the  world’s dilemmas,” according to Dulce García, interim president,  Ibero-American  Science and Technology Eduction Consortium. The project   has a network of university and association partners, including the International  Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES). Participant activities on the Leadership Channel include  discussion of  policy papers, identification of collaborative opportunities,   facilitation of researcher exchanges, and crowdsourcing of ideas.

This sounds like an excellent initiative! Sustainability is a global challenge, and as this group knows, engaging stakeholders is essential to advancing sustainability goals.  Look foward to learning more about this important progamming.

Some of you also may be interested in an upcoming event at Drexel University on March 22 and March 23rd, that is also addressing this issue. The Sustainability Collaborative is bringing together, industry, academic and community leaders as another avenue to move further, faster, together toward achieving global sustainabilty goals in improving education, creating a strong workforce, and contributing value to the greater community.   Please go to www.sustainext.org for more information on the collaborative, or feel free to reach out to me directly at rschoenfelder@theodolitehc.com.
