Top 5 Things You Need to Know about Documents

  1. Documents can be public or private, shared with specific individuals or with groups.
  2. You can create a New Document or Upload Existing Documents in the Network.
  3. Uploaded documents can be any format type (e.g., doc, xls, ppt, jpg…).
  4. Members can edit, comment rate and “like” documents.  Moderation controls can be set to control who can edit, comment and approve document before they are published.  The ACS Network retains all versions of the document and you can track changes of the document from one version to the next.  The ACS Network will render a facsmile of the document when it is created in the network.
  5. Documents can contain links, multimedia and attachments.

How do you create a document that's only viewable by certain people? I've created a draft, and in "Collaboration Options", I see choices for who can edit a document, but it kinda looks like everyone on the ACS Network can view it. I'd like to make a document that is viewable only by specific people.

I was interested in possibly creating a Jive secret group for Chicago Section Business, then posting sensitive documents there, but it doesn't look like I have the authority to create groups.

I appreciate your help. Thanks. - Josh
