This event is part of the activities of the
43rd IUPAC World Chemistry Congress
This community event, coordinated by the ACS-Puerto Rico Section, will join the efforts of hundreds of volunteers who, through demonstrations, will emphasize the importance of chemistry in daily life in relation to the themes of water, environment, energy, materials and health. Also join thousands of students around the world by participating in the IYC 2011 Global Water Experiment.
The activity will include the participation of the President Elect of the American Chemical Society, Dr. Bassam Shakhashiri, ACS members and staff, members of the ACS-Puerto Rico Section, ACS-Puerto Rico Younger Chemist Committee, ACS Student Member Chapters from public and private institutions from Puerto Rico, University of PR-Río Piedras Graduate Students Association, and ACS Chemistry High School Clubs.
