Polls and liking content can be used within a group to help confirm decisions. These functionalities are implemented differently, but can be used for similar purposes.
Polls
Polls are a type of social content. It is essentially a single question with a list of answer choices. Users' opinions are easiest to identify when provided with simple choices. They are typically straightforward and can be either text or image-based. Polls can have up to ten choices and users may only vote for one item.
To create a poll, click the pencil icon in the top right corner of the screen and select Poll.
Complete the form and click Create Poll.
When a user votes, the current results for the poll are displayed. A poll can be featured on an Overview page with the Latest Poll widget. This widget displays the latest poll within a group.
Liking content
To like a piece of content, click "Like" in the top right part of the screen to . The word will turn to "Liked" and the number of likes will display beside it. A user can click on "Liked" to unlike the content.
Liking content is good to demonstrate support for a favorite document, video, etc. where total likes are tallied.
