One of a growing number of American Chemical Society (ACS) Local Sections, the Orlando Section promotes public awareness of chemistry by being involved in community outreach programs and by working with students and teachers of chemistry and science. We hope to encourage an interest in the chemical sciences.
I don’t know if this is the right forum but I thought I would give this a try. I am a home owner living in the space coast area. I had a mold remediator use an astonishingly incompetent mixture of chemicals in my house creating toxic fumes and then he sealed up the house for 2 weeks. I know he sprayed near full strength bleach on porous building materials, studs, concrete etc which were wet from an irrigation leak. My irrigation water contains hydrogen sulfide and a strong skunky odor was produced during his bleach application.. He also used Lysol Clean and Fresh Multi Purpose cleaner, a QAT. Then he sprayed zinsser mold killing primer over studs and concrete still wet with highly concentrated bleach. Since his chemical application, I have began to notice a white substance deposit under my Ac drain tube and noxious particulates circulate in the air. Would someone be interested in determining resulting chemicals formed from interactions between the chemicals he used? Or does anyone have references to chemists who perform this kind of work?
