The Senior Chemists Committee was established on January 1, 2013 as a Joint Board-Council Committee. The Committee serves two constituencies within the ACS: (1) seniors who are still active either as full-time or part-time employees, consultants, or those who still wish to stay closely connected to the ACS and its spectrum of activities; and (2) younger members and students who have questions about a chemistry-based career or who have started careers, but are looking for guidance in how to progress.
VISION: Improving lives using the knowledge and experience of senior chemists.
MISSION: To address and support the needs and ambitions of senior chemists and to utilize their experience and knowledge.
The Senior Chemists Committee selects two Local Sections for awards in the Chemluminary Event. Thanks to Roger Bartholomew and the Awards committee for their deliberation and selection from many interesting events that engaged senior chemists. Please register to attend the event on December 9 at 4:00 PM, Eastern and cheer on our winners! We were delighted to host this event in collaboration with the ACS Development Office in lieu of our planned Breakfast speaker at the San Francisco National Meeting. Thanks to our speakers for this session who provided exciting information on how ACS and chemists are having impact on the challenges of 2020. The recording of the webinar is now available at https://bcove.video/2FXAhH5 Please plan to join us for our Tuesday morning breakfast speakers at each ACS National meeting.
