When you have decided how to organize your content, you need to map the old pages to the new. Depending on the size of your site, you might need to enter all this information on an excel spreadsheet with columns that have:
- title of the page on the old site,
- location (url) of the page on the old site,
- the new title of the page (if applicable)
- the new location (usually shown as a hierarchy: home > careers > interviewing tips)
When you feel you have a good sense of what needs to be moved to your new site, you will be given login credentials for your new site on webs.com.
Once you enter the site, you will be able to select one of the templates created for you to use. These templates will allow you to insert your groups’ name and logo and still follow ACS branding guidelines.
You may modify the global navigation links, select the widgets and applications you need, and with the help of the spreadsheet, copy the content from your old site (or use the updated content) to the appropriate page on the new one.
