As an owner/administrator for a group, you have the ability to create announcements. Announcements are not social content and therefore they cannot be commented on or shared.
Creating an Announcement
Go to the "Manage" menu and select announcements.
Select Add a new announcement.
Then complete the form to add a new announcement.
Once created, the announcement will appear on the overview/home page of the group (or forum).
Announcements will appear on a user Messages Stream only if you click the checkbox for Inbox notifications. Messages are one of the streams from the main home page.
Email about the announcement if the user has preferences set to send an email for all new messages. See Setting Preferences for more information.
