Research and Special Interests:
Biotechnology: The sensitizers producing singlet oxygen are a promising alternative to develop the photodynamic-insecticides (who are environment-friendly due to the absence of side effects), to help to resolve problems that are of concern to both agriculturalists and urban dwellers, i.e., the using of safe insecticides. Therefore, I am seeking to develop an efficient chlorophyll photoinsecticide.
Renewable Energy: As the demand for electrical power increases, producers and consumers will continue to look for alternative sources. One such source of renewable energy is, of course, the sun. Therefore, I am seeking to develop an efficient plastic solar cell device-based on porphyrins and phthalocyanines, and capable to be fabricated and characterized in ambient air at room temperature (outside of the glove box).

Organic Photovoltaic solar cells and Phtochemistry
