Research and Special Interests:
My primary professional interest is integrating green and sustainable chemistry in undergraduate education, research and outreach. Teaching interests include introductory and organic chemistry, introduction to green chemistry. Undergraduate research projects are focused on the synthesis of potential therapeutic agents based on indole and oxindole ring systems; and developing sustainable, cost effective methods for the production of biodiesel from waste vegetable oils. New project: green chemistry curriculum development for high school teachers.
