**NEW** Transparency in Coverage
The Transparency in Coverage Rule requires health plan sponsors, like ACS, to publicly issue Machine Readable Files (MRFs) to participants by July 1, 2022. These files include detailed pricing information organized by the billing codes used to identify the item or service such as the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) code, Health Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code, Diagnosis-Related Group (DRG) code or the National Drug Code (NDC) or other common identifiers. These MRFs can be found at: transparency-in-coverage.uhc.com.
