Hello, I would like to inquire about Acetic Anhydride test on the Glacial Acetic acid ACS monograph, DOI: 10.1021/acsreagents.4002. Does the impurity grow over time and what is the impact if the % is higher after a few months on the quality of the acetic acid ? USP, EP, JP do not have this test, what is the purpose of testing it? Acetic anhydride converts into acetic acid with water. Thank you.
