Hi, I have fluorographite and I want to replace the fluoro with another graphite molecule. I tried reacting fluorographite with silver since I read that silver will react with a halogen. However, I'm not sure what I get. I wasn't sure how to react the silver with fluorographite and I tried using water. However, if I'm correct, i probably get a hydroxyl group replacing the fluoride. how would I replace the fluoro group with a carbon from another graphite molecule? Your help appreciated.
