The St. Louis Section's sub-theme for this years CCED was "It's in the Air". Activities included making models of the gases in the air (photo), how we detect odors, how we perceive sound, the pressure of air, how hot air rises, carbon dioxide lava lamp, and carbon dioxide bubbles. We had exhibits of the layers of air and the effects of temperature and pressure on the density of air. Along with our activities, we handed out the CCED and ChemMatters magazine at our event that was held at the St. Louis Science Center.
