With the recent release of the new ACS Guidelines for Chemistry in Two-Year College Programs (http://www.acs.org/2Yguidelines), ACS is continuing its efforts to support the two-year college community. The Society Committee on Education (SOCED) also established the Task Force on Two-Year College Activities, charged with determining the interest in and viability of strategies for engaging and supporting two-year college programs within the broader higher education community.
Some of the issues we’re addressing are related to formation of effective partnerships, mechanisms for articulation, and student transfer. Do you have examples of these you’d like to share or perhaps issues in this area which you think need to be addressed?

This is a great question. There should be a lot of discussion to see what aspects need to be included in such a program. What exactly does it mean to be recognized?
