Apply Now: Trust in Science & Scientists Grant
 
Trust in Science grants are available to help local sections, divisions, student chapters, and international chapters reach out to their communities and try to increase the public’s trust in science and scientists. Grants ranging from $1,500 to $4,500 will fund projects that educate and engage the public, have a measurable impact, and have a strong sense of volunteer involvement. Applications are due July 15. The ACS Global Innovation Grant is accepting applications for 2024 from International Chapters, Local Sections, and Technical Divisions until April 12. Internationally collaborative and innovate events can receive up to $5000 USD of support. Apply today!

Women Chemists Rising Star Award 2025-Deadline June 15.

The ACS Women Chemists Committee’s (WCC) Rising Star Award recognizes up to 10 outstanding individuals approaching mid-level careers who have demonstrated outstanding promise for contributions to their respective fields. Awardees will be given a $1,000 travel stipend for the ACS 2025 Spring Meeting in San Diego, CA. To highlight the accomplishments of the award winners, they will be given an opportunity to present their contributions at a WCC-sponsored symposium, will be recognized at WCC special events, and have a moment to network with other practitioners, award winners, and ACS leaders. It is time to begin the process of making appointments to ACS Council-related committees for 2025. If you are interested in serving on an ACS Committee, the online committee preference form for committee assignments is the keyway to let us know your committee preferences, your background and your interests.
 
The online preference form is open until July 1, 2024 at http://www.cmte.acs.org. If you need assistance during this process, please contact the Committee on Committees at secretary@acs.org. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, and for all your efforts on behalf of our Society.

The Committee on Corporation Associates (CA) invites ACS Local Sections and International Chapters to apply for grants to support their industry-focused events, including job fairs or panel discussions with industry leaders. CA also offers SEED grants to support the start of recurring programs or events focused on education in the chemical sciences, education of the public on the role of the chemical industry, and promotion of professionalism or safety in chemistry. To apply, visit the CA SEED Grant webpage

ACS Student Communities Grants
 
The ACS Student Communities office offers several grant opportunities exclusively for faculty advisors and student leaders of ACS Student Chapters, ACS International Student Chapters, and ACS Graduate Student Organizations (GSOs). Please share information about our Starter; Professional Meeting; Engagement; and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Respect (DEIR) grants with active Student Communities in your region. All grants are reviewed on a rolling, first-come first-served basis.
 
 
Chemists with Disabilities Committee (CWD) Opportunities
 
The CWD encourages you to consider serving on the committee. The committee preference form is open through July 1. The CWD is soliciting applications for the travel award; the application deadline is June 30. We:
 
  • promote opportunities for individuals with disabilities, supporting ACS Strategic Plan and Members;
  • promote a portfolio of programs, products, and services to increase participation and leadership by individuals with disabilities;
  • offer resources to the chemistry community on issues concerning the education and employment of individuals with disabilities.
