The 2018 Bartlesville District Science Fair, hosted at the Phillips 66 Research Center on February 23-24, gathered around 300 students from Bartlesville and vicinities. Our participation in the science fair is an excellent way to help students develop an understanding of the scientific process along with strengthening their communication skills.
The Northern Oklahoma section of the ACS presented awards to students in all three divisions:
- Elementary division - John Lawson “Acid Based Indicators, Color Changers”
- Junior division – Claire Osburn “How Much Energy is Stored in Different Types of Food”
- Senior division – Claire Chipinda and Kianna Shaw “Homemade pH Indicators”
Congratulations to these winners!
