The June 30 deadline to apply for a Local Section Innovative Project Grant (IPG) is fast approaching! Projects put forth in the Local Section IPG Program should be new to the local section; designed to increase member involvement, improve services to members, and increase the public's understanding of chemistry. The maximum funding that a local section can receive is $3,000. It is a requirement that local sections submit final reports for any previously funded IPGs in order for new proposals to be considered. Once any outstanding final reports are received, your local section can apply for an IPG by emailing a completed application form, along with relevant letters of support, to lsac@acs.org by June 30, 2013. Because this day falls on a Sunday, applications submitted on Monday, July 1 will be honored.
