Do you know an ACS member who is an outreach super-star? Or do you conduct outreach activities for lay audiences? Nominations are open for the Helen M. Free Award for Public Outreach Award, a beautiful crystal trophy and a $1,000 prize. You have until May 15 to submit your nominations online.
Qualifying activities include presentations, demonstrations, seminars, symposia, and exhibits; newspaper or magazine articles and interviews; radio and television appearances; and hands-on science activities with children and/or adults. Venues include public places and audiences may include civic, fraternal, religious, youth, and professional groups.
