mass fraction from concentration
How does one calculate (or approximate) mass fractions of solute and solvent from molecular formulae and the concentration given as the mass of solute over volume of solution? For example, what are the mass fractions of salt (NaCl) and water (H2O) in a 90 mg/ml solution of salt water? Assume an unsaturated solution at standard temperature and pressure.
