ACS Orlando Communication Team
Our section is looking for ACS Orlando Communication Team members: would you like to join in? We are looking for students, professionals, and retirees. The creation of the team is one element of the local section’s strategy (https://communities.acs.org/docs/DOC-74687-2021-strategic-vision-final-22-aug-2020pdf) on becoming the hub for students, professionals, and retirees to network and share information. The team will gather and share information on the local chemical enterprise, training opportunities, and global chemical and chemical engineering developments of interest to our local membership. We will look to make our presence on our ACS Network (https://communities.acs.org/community/society/component-websites/orlando-local-section) and Facebook pages (https://www.facebook.com/acsorlandols) more robust. But first, the team must get together, articulate the type and format of the news it believes will interest you, and get endorsement from the local Executive Board. One vision is to emulate the style of the ACS Chemical & Engineering News but focused on our region and scaled to the team’s capabilities. If you are interested in trying your hand in science, governance, or chemical business reporting, send your name and contact information with a brief introduction statement for your interest to orlandosectionacs@gmail.com. You can also help by sharing with us news about your company or on events affecting the local chemical enterprise we can share with your fellow ACS members. Your insight will enable the Communication Team to perform its full potential.
