Green Chemistry Student Awards: Due February 19, 2016!
The ACS Green Chemistry Institute® (ACS GCI) administers the Breen and Hancock awards to sponsor a young international scholar, providing national recognition for outstanding contributions to green chemistry through research and/or studies.
Sponsors an international green chemistry scholar, undergraduate students, graduate students, post doctoral fellows, and above, but below the level of Assistant Professor and within the first seven years of a professional career, to participate in an international green chemistry technical meeting, conference or training program. The amount of the award is based on the estimated cost of travel, accommodation, and fees associated with the event, up to $2,000.
This award provides national recognition and honor for outstanding student contributions to furthering the goals of green chemistry through research and/or studies. This includes but is not limited to the research, development, and implementation of fundamental and innovative chemical technologies that incorporate the principles of green chemistry into chemical design, manufacture, and use, and that have the potential to be utilized in achieving national pollution prevention goals.
The recipient of the award receives $1,000. The award is presented in conjunction with the annual GC&E Conference. Apply today!
