The enclosed file is a simple cyclic voltammetry (CV) simulator written in Microsoft Excel. The open-source nature of the spreadsheet makes it a useful teaching tool when discussing CV. The simulator has also been used in select research projects. The CV spreadsheet can be download for free from the ACS Network.

The attached image is a little Photoshop magic to celebrate the installation of a new 300 MHz Bruker NMR at Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) after years of effort to replace our old system. The image makes a great computer background or poster for an NMR room. The title of the image is NMR at the Lake. I would like to acknowledge our University Foundation, alumni, faculty, staff, administration, and the Bruker Corporation for making this purchase possible.

Jay Brown published research on the electrochemical reduction pathways of the s-triazine herbicide terbuthylazine (TBA). The research involved the use of Controlled-Potential Electrolysis (CPE) to determine the number of electrons in the reduction and to produce a sample of the final product. The structure of the final product was then determined by the use of Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectroscopy (GC/MS), Infrared (IR) Interferometry, and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy. For details, see: J. Brown, J. Electroanal. Chem., 809 (2018) 125–129. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jelechem.2017.12.038.
