I recently had the opportunity to sit in on a local You Be The Chemist (YBTC) workshop for K-12 teachers that was sponsored by the Chemical Education Foundation (www.chemed.org). In the course of the workshop there was mention of the You Be The Chemist Challenge that organization also sponsors. Apparently New Mexico is one of but a few states - mostly in the west - that don’t have such an organized activity. I was curious if any other ACS Local Sections have had experience in being involved in the hosting / organization / helping sponsor a YBTC Challenge?
At this point not sure if there would be enough participation from sufficient New Mexico schools to make happen but was curious about the experience of any other Local Sections.
