I'm not a chemist - I'm a glass artist. I found this site in the hope of getting some guidance.
I currently use a ceramic glaze that fades at high temperatures (750 C +) if deprived oxygen. Normally not an issue because it is used on the surface of ceramics. I am using it between layers of glass and the temperature at which the layers adhere (fuse) is just inside the range that the glazes fade.
Can anyone recommend an additive that releases oxygen in the 750 - 850 C range? It would need to be something relatively readily available and not hazardous to handle or bring to this temperature range.
