The Nashville Section of the American Chemical Society invites teachers, students, and STEM stakeholders to join us on Saturday November 3rd at the Embassy Suites for information, fun, and

take-aways that will be beneficial to current and future chemists.  This exciting half day will be filled with information you need to know to make an informed career choice!



College students:

  • Meet local STEM industry representatives and learn about available jobs in chemistry
  • Hear from STEM chemists about their work
  • Ask local recruiters questions about finding the right job
  • Have your resume reviewed by a local expert



  • Learn about ACS resources
  • Obtain information about local jobs in chemistry that could help your students make career choices
  • Network with local companies and recruiters
  • High school students attending will also gain valuable career information



8:00-9:15 am  Presentation by Dr. Judith Iriarte-Gross and Ruth Woodall, Nashville ACS Counselors, about resources from the American Chemical Society for teachers. (Free materials for teachers will be given away)


9:15-9:30 am  Continental breakfast for attendees

Welcome and introductions:  Dr. Kim Daus, Nashville ACS Chair


9:30-11:00 am  Presentations by local chemists (a list of speakers is attached)


11:00-11:30 am  Industry Recruiter Panel Q&A


11:30-12:00 am  Resume feedback, networking
