Hello, I looking for a Chemist to develop an eco-friendly fiber from plastics. If you have experience in this area please reach out.
I would start with an eco-friendly plastic such as PLA (polylactic acid) and then extrude a fiber. I think Cargill Dow first did it in 2002. I am sure many companies are making fibers out of PLA now. More details concerning what you are trying to do and what you would like to use these fibers for will help you get better responses. Good luck
It is for a clothing line however fabric sheds when you wash them. We need a formula that eliminates shedding.
And the fiber must be closed looped, so it can be recycled back into itself after use.
