How do I find or attract speakers for our local ACS section meetings in general?
Specifically, at our High School Student-Teacher awards dinner this year (April 2018), I would very much like to arrange for three speakers to do short 10 minute talks; e.g., energetic TEDx type talks that introduce High School students to different areas. Sorry, but I do not think one long 30-40 minute scientific talk is the best way to convince students to go for a career in a Science related field. I am thinking of talks on various career aspects; such as, alternative careers for scientists, Research talk by Chemist-Biochemist, How to ______________.
Any feedback or advice will be greatly appreciated.
